Questions about experiments: Check the following if your experiments run into problems.

Q1

The light does not go on when I turn on the main switch.

Are the batteries (AA alkaline dry cells) new? Are they facing the correct direction?

Q2

The light goes on when I turn the main switch on, but I don't hear any sound no matter how I tune the theremin.

The desk or table you have placed it on may be metal or there may be a metal plate or the like directly under it. (Please check.) If you find metal, place the theremin somewhere else or raise it up higher.

Q3

Tuning went well, but after a while, the pitch, zero point, and volume started behaving differently.

The pitch, etc. can vary over time. If it does, adjust it again. (For how to readjust the theremin, see page 13 of the instruction manual.)

Q4

The pitch, etc. changed with a different player or location.

Be sure to readjust whenever the player or location changes. The theremin uses the electrostatic capacitance of the human body. Electrostatic capacitance varies from person to person. Therefore, the person playing the theremin should put on the grounding band and readjust it. (For how to readjust the theremin, see page 13 of the instruction manual.)

Q5

The pitch, etc. changed when I connected an amp or speaker.

When you connect external equipment, readjust the theremin. (For how to readjust the theremin, see page 13 of the instruction manual.)

Q6

After tuning, when I tried to practice with the monaural earphones on, the pitch, etc. changed.

If you are practicing with monaural earphones, tune the instrument with the earphones on. (For how to readjust the theremin, see page 13 of the instruction manual.)

Q7

I want to play the theremin with my friend playing one next to me.

If you are too close, the theremins may affect each other's pitch. Make sure you have enough space between you.

Q8

I want to hook up the theremin to the Otona no Kagaku magazine extra volume Synthesizer Chronicle's supplement, analog synthesizer SX-150.

Simply connect the Theremin Premium's output terminal to the analog synthesizer SX-150's input terminal (EXT.SOURCE) with an appropriate cable. You will be able to enjoy various musical expressions.

Q09

I hear a rough sound when I turn up the volume.

Speaker vibration may be affecting the pitch antenna.
Re-insert the pitch antenna.
