Wait a moment. The needle will start moving if you wait, and once it does, you can record. (If the needle still does not start moving, check that the batteries are facing the correct way.) |

When recording, the cup holder (D8 in the assembly instruction) is rotating, but the cup is not. |
Referring to Figure 1, adjust the E3 cup holder.

When playing back a recording, the needle isn't following the groove. |
The groove may be too shallow. Adjust the angle of the needle, referring to Figure 2 in the assembly instruction. Also check Figure 3 and Figure 4 on page 22, and pay careful attention to the number of weights and loudness of your voice when recording.
